She was a homemaker and member of Newberry First Christian Church. Turney Ronald D. Turney, 77, of Vincennes, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Good Samaritan. Ron was born July 31, 1944, in Vincennes, the son of Samuel D. Turney and Delores I. (Snider) Foster.

He was a graduate of Lawrenceville (Illinois) High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1966 during the Vietnam War. He joined the Vincennes Police Department and served for over 16 years. He continued his career, having evolved into real estate becoming a broker and realtor. He married Janet C.

Deem on May 11, 1963, and they made their life together for nearly 59 years. Ron was a member of the F.O.P, Realtors Association, Moose, Eagles and the Harmony Society. He is survived by his wife, Janet C. Turney; and their sons, Ronald D. Turney Jr.

and his companion, Vivian Scott, of St. Charles, Missouri, and Steve D. Turney and his wife, Nadine, of Vincennes. He is also survived by their grandchildren, Sarah Turney and Laura D. Turney; great-grandchil- dren, Michael McKee, Rhett Turney McCarter, Cyrus D.

Turney and Rhea Richardson; and a brother, Stephen Foster and his wife, Peggy, of Lawrenceville, Illinois. At his request, funeral services will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to any youth programs in the Vincennes community or the charity of choice. Ethel Eileen Clark BICKNELL Ethel Eileen Clark, 73, of Bicknell, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 9, 2022.

Ethel was born in Vincennes on Aug. 29, 1948, to the late James Wood and Lula Mae Pickett Wood. Ethel retired from JayC Foods in Vincennes in 2010. She loved her late husband, Don, with all her heart and soul; they were soulmates, and Don was her Knight in Shining Armor. Ethel loved being outdoors; she also loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally.

Ethel was a member of the DAV Auxiliary, where she served as a president. She enjoyed listening to country gospel, cake decorating, and the board game, Aggravation. Those left to mourn the loss of Ethel are her loving children, Debbie Anthis (Joe Cox) of Bicknell, Franklin Anthis (Tammy) of Florida, Raymond Clark (Jenny) of Emison, Beverly Kerstiens (John) of Jasper, Leo Wood and Bobby Smith-Carrie of Vincennes, James Wood of Emison, Steve Wood (Janiece of Vincennes, Nina Ray Montgomery-Ba- etke (Dale) of Idaho, and Brenda Blaze (John) of Florida; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild (with one on the way); and many nieces and nephews. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Ray Clark; and siblings, Benny Wood, Elizabeth Hensley, and Daniel Wood. Services will be held at 2 p.m.

Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD, 21741. Ansalea Kaiser BRUCEVILLE Ansalea Kaiser, 71, left this earth for her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 7, 2022. She was surrounded by family who loved her dearly. Ancy is survived by her husband, Steve Kaiser of Bruceville; her children, Angela (Jason) Huff and Chris Kaiser; and grandsons, Ben Huff, Owen Huff, and Jonah Kaiser, all of Greencastle. Her brother, Dennis (Sarah) McCarter; and sisters, Tammie (Wayne) Holscher and Mary (Andy) Worland also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell McCarter Jr. and Dolores McCarter; and three siblings, Russell McCarter III, Douglas McCarter, and Tim McCarter. She was also preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Ethel Mengedoht, with whom she shared a very special relationship. Ansalea was a farm wife for more than 40 years, working alongside her husband in the fields, as well as managing their home and family. She took great pride in her beautiful yard and gardens and was known for her wonderful cooking and baking skills, sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends.

She loved antiquing and refinishing furniture, much of which she sold through her Liberty House Antiques shop in Bruceville. She enjoyed helping friends and customers decorate their homes and especially loved visiting with them in her store. She loved her small town where she organized and ran the annual Bruceville community yard sales for 20 years. Ancy found a new joy when she became a grandmother and spent many hours on the road traveling to spend time with her grandsons. She loved having the boys for extended stays on the farm and always made their favorite foods, including homemade pizza, noodles, and popcorn at midnight when they were together.

In recent years Ancy battled ovarian cancer. She courageously fought and won against the disease three times with her last round of chemo wrapping in May. A private family graveside service will be held at a future date. Ansalea will be laid to rest at Mariah Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make donations in name to Chemo Buddies at chemobuddies.

Patricia Louise (Mason) Atkinson BICKNELL Patricia Louise (Mason) Atkinson, 94, of Washington, went to her heavenly home on Friday, July 8, 2022.

Patricia was born on June 2, 1928, in Bicknell to the late James Earl Mason and Bernice Ruth (Egbert) Mason. Patricia worked in the jewelry department at Gimble Bond and was a census taker. The most important job of all, however, was her job as a homemaker. Patricia loved her family and was a devoted family woman. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening both vegetables and flowers, being a seamstress, quilting, traveling, and spending time with her family.

It should be mentioned she was a spelling genius. Patricia attended the Clover Hill Assembly of God Church in Midlothian, Virginia. Patricia is survived by her children, Jill Ann (Atkinson) Hughes of Midlothian and Grant Atkinson (Janet) of Palm Coast, Florida; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Rita Rish of Bicknell and Dr. James Mason (Mary Dee) of Bicknell. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Michael Atkinson, whom she married on Nov.

24, 1946; a son, Dean Gregory Atkinson; siblings, Jack Mason and Vicki (Mason) Moreland; and a son-in-law, G. Edwards Hughes. Patricia led a full life, doing a lot of traveling and moving. She and her husband, Dean, who worked for the Department of Defense and retired as a colonel in the Army Reserves, lived in many places including Georgia, Baltimore, Indianapolis, Germany, California, and Virginia. To honor wishes, services will be private and she will be laid to rest in the Edwardsport I.O.O.F.

Fleta Fay Lowe Fleta Fay Lowe, 92, Vincennes, died Friday, July 8, 2022. She had worked at Ice Cream and was a member of the First Church of God. Survivors include her husband, Jack Louis Lowe; their children, Michael Lewis Lowe, Deborah Ann Catt, Kathleen Jo Rasico, Barbara Jean Cary and Lora Mae Roman; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Church of God, 1408 E.

St. Clair with Pastor Joe Roman officiating and Pastor Scott Rasico giving the eulogy. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Marianna Loveman LAWRENCEVILLE, Illinois Marianna Loveman, 85, of Lawrenceville died on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Marianna worked at Sievers Meat Market and was a member of the Central Christian Church. Survivors include three children, Marc Loveman, Kate Loveman, and Melesa Loveman; five grandchildren, Marcus Loveman, Rachel Fettig, Natalie Crowe, Clinton Loveman, and Malana Patel; and eight great-grandchildren.
