Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Surgical Technology provides students with the technical ability; knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment as a member of a healthcare team in hospital or surgical center operating rooms.Students receive instruction in essentials of healthcare, surgical instrumentation, anatomy, physiology, medical language and pharmacology. Graduates are prepared for employment as surgical technologists.
The mission of the Surgical Technology program at Keiser University is to provide didactic and clinical instruction that will prepare students to achieve success on the national board examination and demonstrate competency as an entry-level surgical technologist who will serve the needs of the healthcare community and enhance the quality of care for surgical patients.
To receive an Associate of Science in Surgical Technology, students must earn 74.0 credit hours. Program requirements are as follows:
