The Stade de France track has gone from ecstasy to heartbreak in just a few minutes.
Brazil's Lisbeli Marina Vera Andrade appeared to be leading about halfway through the women's 100m T47 final when something went horribly wrong.
Pain spread across the 22-year-old's face as she stumbled, appearing to have torn a muscle.
She fought on but dropped quickly towards the back of the pack.
Eventually Vera Andrade could go on no longer and fell to the ground just centimetres short of the finish, rolling into the neighbouring lane and getting disqualified.
She was taken away from the track in a wheelchair as Ecuador's Kiara Rodriguez celebrated her win.
The USA's Brittni Mason finished second and New Zealand's Anna Grimaldi claimed the bronze.
Aussie emotional after butterfly bronze
Zachary Gates
PARIS: Teen swimmer Alex Saffy just won a bronze medal and the achievement clearly means a lot to the 18-year-old West Australian.
The young gun from Bunbury, who's now based in Canberra, collected bronze in the men's 100m butterfly S10.
He teared up while speaking to Nine's Annabelle Williams poolside and the tears continued to flow as he chatted with reporters in the media mixed zone.
"Three years of training for me has led to that point, so it was very emotional," Saffy said.
"I'm glad it's over. Just relief [is what I'm feeling]."
Viral celebration after world record falls
Jorge Branco
What better way to mark a world record than with the sporting world's most viral celebration?
Lamiya Valiyeva looked shocked when she checked her time after crossing the line first in the women's 100m T13 final.
But it didn't take long for that surprise at her new record of 11.76 seconds to turn to ecstatic joy.
The reigning world champion from Azerbaijan capped it all with an homage to Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec, who went viral for his super-casual pose and outfit on the way to an Olympic silver medal.
Rollers trail to unbeaten rivals
Alyssa Bone
The Rollers may not have had the best run in their group matches but they sure are putting Team GB to the test.
The first half was packed with strong attacking plays but the Aussies struggled to convert their efforts into points.
Tristan Knowles dominated for the Rollers, scoring 17 points.
The Aussies currently trail to their unbeaten rivals 38-35.

'I'm the best': Gold medallist equals his own world record
Jorge Branco
The USA's Jaydin Blackwell oozed confidence from the second he exploded onto the track to the moment he crossed the line to exactly equal his own world record.
"I'm the best," the gold medallist yelled, draped in an American flag after the men's 400m T38.
He won by a massive margin from countrymen Ryan Medrano and Colombian Juan Alejandro Campas Sanchez and could probably have set a new world mark if he didn't slow up slightly on the line.
