HSCLink

Instructions for the new HSCLink

  • Go to https://outlook.office.com/salud.unm.edu
  • Enter your salud email address and click Next.

  • Enter your password and click Sign In.
  • Emails from last week may take up to 24 hours to appear in your new mailbox.

Apple Mail for iPhone/iPad

Please note: These instructions may differ from what you see on your device due to differences between iOS versions.

  • If you use the Apple Mail app to access your salud mailbox, you will need to remove your salud account from your device first.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Mail.
  • Tap Accounts.
  • Tap your salud account.
  • Tap Delete Account.
  • Tap Delete from My iPhone/iPad and wait for it to complete.
  • Tap Add Account.
  • Tap Microsoft Exchange.
  • Enter your salud email address and an account description (e.g., Salud, School).
  • Tap Next.
  • Tap Sign in.
  • Enter your HSC password and tap Sign In.
  • Under Permissions Requested, tap Accept.
  • Tap Save to enable all defaults.
  • Open your Mail app and check out your new salud mailbox.
  • Emails from last week may take up to 24 hours to appear in your new mailbox.

Gmail for Android

  • If you use the Gmail app to access your salud mailbox, you will need to remove your salud account from your device first.
  • Locate and tap Settings.
  • Tap Accounts.
  • Tap your salud account.
  • Tap Remove Account.
  • Tap Remove Account again to confirm the action.
  • Tap Add Account.
  • Tap Exchange.
  • Enter your salud email address and tap Next.
  • Enter your HSC password and tap Sign In.
  • Under Permissions Requested, tap Accept.
  • Open your Gmail app and check out your new salud mailbox.
  • Emails from last week may take up to 24 hours to appear in your new mailbox.

  • If you use the Outlook app to access your salud mailbox, you will need to remove your salud account from the app first.
  • OpenOutlook app.
  • Tap the User Profile menu (it is the circle with your initials or your picture on the top left corner).
  • Tap the cogwheel icon on the bottom left corner to open Settings.
  • Tap your salud account.
  • Scroll down and tap Delete.
  • Tap Delete againand wait for it to complete.
  • Enter your salud email address and tap Add Account.
  • Enter your HSC password and tap Sign In.
  • Skip the step to add another account at this time.
  • Your new mailbox is now configured. Wait for the app to download your data.
  • Emails from last week may take up to 24 hours to appear in your new mailbox.

Outlook for Android

Windows Mail

These instructions are for the medical students who use the Windows Mail app for Windows 10 to access their salud account.

Students can switch to Outlook after go live.

Please note: These instructions may differ from what you see on your device due to differences between Windows versions.

  • If you use the Windows Mail app to access your salud mailbox, you will need to remove your salud account from your device first.
  • Open Windows Mail.
  • Tap the cogwheel icon near the bottom left corner to open Settings.
  • Click on Manage Accounts from the menu on the right.
  • Click onyour salud account.
  • Click on Delete Account.
  • Click onDelete again.
  • ClickYesand wait for the deletion process to complete.
  • Click Add Accountfrom the menu on the right.
  • Click on Office 365/Exchange.
  • Enter your salud email address and clickNext.
  • Select your salud account and clickContinue.
  • Enter your HSC password and clickSign In.
  • Click Done.
  • Check out your new salud mailbox.
  • Emails from last week may take up to 24 hours to appearin your new mailbox.

Outlook for Windows on Personal Devices

Please note: These instructions are *not* for devices that are owned and managed by the HSC.

If you use Outlook to access your salud mailbox from a personally-owned device, you will need to run a script to update your settings.Please submit a Help.HSC request to obtaintechnical assistance. Log onwith your HSC NetID and password (depending on your browser or your current setup, you may not be prompted to log in).

Outlook for Windows on HSC Devices

Instructions for Outlook for Windows on HSC Devices

Please note: These instructions are *not* for personally-owned devices.

You will need to connect to the VPN or be on campus to complete these instructions.

  • Follow these instructions carefully. Do not to get ahead of yourself.
  • Please be aware that these instructions may differ from what you see on your computer. Use them as a guide and take your time.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Connect to the HSC VPN. If you are on campus, connect your computer to ethernet or to HSC_Secure.
  • Make sure that Outlook is closed.
  • Click the magnifying glass icon on the lower left corner to open the search bar.

  • Type Software Center in the search bar.
  • SelectSoftware Center from the list of results.

  • From the Software Center window, click on the HSC Outlook 365 Config utility.

  • Click Install.
  • Click Yes run the configuration utility.
  • Once you see the gray Uninstall button, the configuration is complete.

  • Close the Software Center window.
  • Open Outlook.
  • Click Connect.

  • Choose Exchange for the Account Type.
  • Pay close attention to this step.Notice that Lobo Louie's email address got changed to @health.unm.edu.He will not be able to sign in until he fixes this error (it should say salud).

  • If the same thing happens to you, do not enter your password and click onSign in with another account. On the other hand, if your address is displayed correctly, enter your HSC password, click Sign in, and skip two steps.
  • Replace “health” with “salud” and click Next.

  • Enter your HSC password and click onSign In.
  • Click OKto allow your organization to manage your device.
  • If you find yourself back on the screen with the wrong address,replace “health” with “salud” once again and click Next.
  • Eventually, you should get to a screen that says the account setup is complete. Click OK.
  • Outlook may perform very sluggish at first. Be patient.
  • Emails from last week may take up to 24 hours to appear in your new mailbox.

Outlook for Mac on Personal Devices

These instructions are *not* for Macs that are owned and managed by the HSC.

  • Open Outlook.
  • From the Outlook menu, choose Preferences.
  • Click on Accounts.
  • On the Accounts window, select your salud account from the left panel.
  • Click theminus symbol "-"on the lower left corner of the window.

  • ClickDeleteand and wait for it to complete.
  • Click on Add Email Account.
  • Enter your salud email address and click on Continue.
  • Enter your HSC password and click onSign In.
  • Skip the step to add another account.
  • Close the Accounts window.
  • Check out your new salud mailbox.
  • Emails from last week may take up to 24 hours to appear in your new mailbox.
